gr 221 serra de tramuntana

It has often been said that the Serra de Tramuntana de Mallorca is an island within the island. From Andratx to Pollença, with a length of some ninety kilometres, it is home to the first long-distance path of the Balearic Islands: the Ruta de Pedra en Sec (Dry stone wall) or GR 221, a route that is becoming increasingly more popular where we find many small rural hotels and guest houses. It is a stunning route that will be enjoyed for both the beauty of its scenery and for its natural interest. The guide we present proposes to do the route in eight stages, each of which is divided into sections to make orientation easier. The excellent drawings and photographs that illustrate the book are the perfect complement to the grand informative work undertaken, with much affection, respect and knowledge, by the authors of the guide.
